A3+ showing print area and remaining margin

Prints of any of the images you see on this website are available for purchase. All prints are produced on archival paper using archival quality inks. This means that, if appropriately framed and placed, the photo will not fade or discolour measurably during your lifetime.

I use fine art paper from Museo, Canson and Chromajet. For A4, A3 and A3+ sized prints, I use Epson Ultrachrome HD inks. For larger prints, I use Epson Ultrachrome HDR inks.

My prints are based on high resolution TIFF files (not the lower resolution JPEGs you see on this site) using a fully calibrated printer.

Limited Edition Prints

Limited edition prints are available only for sizes of A1 and larger, and come with a signed certificate showing the date of printing, the print details (paper type) and the edition number.

Size and Price

Prints are available in the following sizes and prices (excluding GST):

A4    AUD45  (print area, 26.6 x 20.3 cm, 10.5 x 8 in)

A3    AUD60  (print area, 39.1 x 28.9 cm, 15.4 x 11.4 in)

A3+  AUD75   (print area, 45.7 x 35.4 cm, 18 x 12 in)

A2    AUD140 (print area, 55.8 x 40.6 cm, 22 x 16 in)

A1     AUD280 Limited edition of 10 (print area, 57 x 50.8 cm, 35 x 22 in)

A0    AUD400 Limited edition of 5 (print area, 107 x 88.9 cm, 42 x 35 in)

Larger by negotiation (limited edition of 5)

Each print has a margin (that is, I do not print to the edge of the paper). This allows you to mount the print in your own frame with a matte. If I printed to the edge of the paper then any matte would take approximately 5mm off each side of the image, affecting the crop. For an example of the margin on an A3+ print, see the image above.

Packaging and Delivery

All prints up to and including A3+ are delivered in a rigid flat pack. I ship internationally using registered post, with shipping prices determined by destination. You are welcome to pick up from my studio if that suits. Just let me know when you place the order by indicating 'Pick Up' in the shipping option.

Prints A2 and larger are delivered in rigid photograph tube designed to hold large scale prints on heavy weight paper without damage. Again, international shipping is available, with cost determined by destination.

Ordering and Payment

To order, simply go to the the ordering page. You can pay by PayPal, Apple Pay or Credit Card.

I want you to own a pristine print. If your print arrives damaged, simply return it to me in the original packaging and I will issue a full refund.

Caring for your print

You are purchasing a fine art product. It comes in a plastic sleeve designed to protect it during transit and storage at your home before you frame it. The papers I use are expensive and should be handled with due care. The margin left on each print is a good place to handle the paper, but I recommend not removing the print from the sleeve until you are ready to frame it, and even then I suggest taking it to the framer in the sleeve. A good picture framer will understand the delicate nature of fine art paper and will handle the print appropriately. A really good picture framer will wear cotton gloves when handling the print.

I handle all my fine art paper, before and after producing your print, with cotton gloves. If you can source a pair (they're cheap), then do so.

Until you are ready to frame your print, store it on a flat surface, away from direct sunlight and high humidity, and without any objects placed on it. If you are really paranoid, get yourself an archival storage box from Albox. It's what I use.

Can you order a framed print?

Yes, you can. I have a framer I trust. Prices vary, but to frame an A3+ print with a 7.5cm matte and a simple black frame would add about AUD70 to the price. Obviously, framing costs are less for smaller prints and more for larger prints. Framing price also varies by frame choice, and shipping a framed picture is harder and more expensive. All in all, I suggest framing it yourself. This gives you the freedom to match your particular taste and decor.
